Now Plastic can be recycled

Accidentally discovered Plastic-Eating mutant Enzyme

Plastic pollution is one of the key factor responsible for having a deadly effect on the marine life and other environmental factors because of the decomposition issue with the plastic material.
The scientist recently discovered the mutant enzyme (Ideonella Sakaiensis 201-F6) by head researcher Prof. John McGeehan in Japan in 2016.

The mechanism by which the Enzyme work

Ideonella Sakaiensis 201-F6 bacteria secrete the enzyme named as PETase which splits or break down certain chemical bonds in polyethylene terephthalate (PET) type of a plastic and leave small molecules which easily absorbed by the bacteria.
