Apple wants Samsung to pay $1 billion dollars for patent infringement

The Apple Inc. expect $ 1 billion dollars from the Samsung Electronics Co. to settle 7-year-old patent infringement case.

The U.S District Judge Lucy Koh in San Jose, California, learned at the outset that the South Korean company infringed three of Apple’s design patents and two utility patents. As per the Apple lawyer Bill Lee said Samsung made a total $3.3 billion in revenue and $1 billion in profit from smartphones that infringed Apple’s three design patents.

The Samsung made $3.3 billion in revenue and $1 billion in profit from millions of phones that infringed Apple’s three design patents, The Apple lawyer Bill Lee said that’s apart from profits Samsung made from infringing two of Apple’s utility patents.
The legal argument between the two tech giants dates back to 2011 when Apple sued Samsung for patent infringement.

Samsung lost the case in 2012 and was ordered to pay Apple more than $1 billion for infringing on three of Apple's design patents like

Samsung was not going to take this loss so Samsung's lawyers appealed the case for compensation of $1 billion to $400 million in 2015, arguing that component design could be just a small part of a smartphone.
